Club AGM Kicks off 2018
KCK held its AGM on Saturday January 27th in the Kilrossanty GAA club. The meeting started with Richie our chairman giving his address, in which he thanked all his fellow officers for their help during the year. He was glad to see 3 new parents who completed coaching courses during the year and he hopes that we can get a few more parents trained up.
He thanked the Kilrossanty GAA club for the use of their facilities. He acknowledged the fact that the standard of the athletes is increasing year on year and a portion of the athletes are competing at a high level. He also reiterated the club motto which is all about participation.
Our secretary John Behan gave his report detailing all of the events we went to during the year. He touched on our achievements on the field. He also thanked all of the parents for the time taken by them to bring their children to the various events around the country. We have updated our membership form which will be available from club officers when training resumes and will also be available to download from this website. John also emphasised the fact that any parent helping out in the club in any capacity must be a fully paid up member.
Family (excluding adults) €50
It was decided that any adult participating in the club must have Garda vetting done. This form will be available online soon. Details of Child welfare courses will be coming up shortly and it was also decided that children must be 7 years of age or older during 2018 to join the club.
John also congratulated Jenny Ryan on becoming county secretary and wished her the best for the coming year and was happy to see someone from KCK holding such an important role . Breda gave a detailed account of the finances of the club during the year. She especially thanked all of the parents who helped out with the bag pack in Supervalu last summer which proved very successful. She also commended Richie and his team for the very successful church gate collections last summer. One of the focuses for the coming year is to get new parents involved, get them trained up so we can share the workload and focus in on the different age groups.
The club expresses gratitude to Breda Behan who is stepping down after many years of dedicated work for our club.
